If you get a good Bánh mì, and you can’t eat it all, and you want to eat it for lunch or for breakfast or for dinner the next day, I have a couple of steps for you to follow:
- Take apart the sandwich. All the meats, vegetables, sauces should be placed in an airtight container and refrigerated immediately.
- Wrap up the precious, delicious bread in tin foil. Place in a dark corner, do not refrigerate.
- The next day, toast the bread, reassemble your sandwich, and your bahn mi should be about 75%-80% as good as it was the day before.
Deconstruct and toast method stolen from Chowhound.
Also, I would like to add that the photo is from the same location where I ordered my own bánh mì. Bless you, Sunset Park.
